What should I do if I miss taking one of my birth control pills?

Take the pill the next day or as soon as you can. If you happen to miss 2 or more pills, you need to wait until your next cycle and restart with a new birth control pack. Be sure to use other forms of contraception during this time to prevent any unwanted pregnancy or STD’s.

Is it normal for me to bleed while I am on birth control pills?

If you are experiencing bleeding while on birth control pills, this could be a sign of a problem. Please call our office as soon as possible to make an appointment to be seen by your doctor.

What should I do if I find a lump in my breast?

You need to call our office to make an appointment with your doctor so they can examine your breasts. They will decide whether you need to have further testing. Please make an appointment as soon as you can when you find any type of lump.

Do I still need an annual exam, even if I have had a hysterectomy?

Yes. We highly recommend coming in for an annual exam even if you have had a hysterectomy, because we still need to perform breast exams and pelvic exams to ensure the tissue has not changed.

What happens if I am a self pay patient?

If you are a self pay patient, payment is expected at the time services have been rendered.
